This YEARLY service is one of the most important maintenance items for travel trailers, 5th wheels, and boat trailers. Wheel bearings support the full weight of the trailer and allow the wheels to spin smoothly. If the grease breaks down or bearings wear out, they can overheat and fail, which can lead to wheel loss or axle damage.

We begin by safely lifting the trailer and removing each wheel.

• Jacking the trailer and supporting with jack stands

• Removing lug nuts and wheels

• Inspecting tires for wear while removed

• Checking wheel studs for damage

• Removing the dust cap

• Removing cotter pin or retainer clip

• Removing spindle nut and washer

• Sliding the hub assembly off the spindle

• Removing the outer and inner bearings

We inspection for:

• Pitting on rollers

• Heat discoloration

• Scoring or roughness

• Metal debris in grease

• Wear in bearing races

Then we rebuild:

• Installs a new grease seal

• Reinstalls the inner bearing

• Reassembles the hub on the spindle

Brake Inspection

• Brake shoe thickness

• Brake magnets

• Springs and hardware

• Wiring to the brake magnet

An RV air conditioner YEARLY inspection and service ensures the rooftop air conditioner is operating efficiently and reliably before summer use. Dust, loose electrical connections, and clogged coils can significantly reduce cooling performance and eventually cause system failure.

Regular service helps prevent compressor failure, which can require replacing the entire unit.

We begin by inspecting the outside rooftop unit.

• Removing the AC shroud

• Inspecting the plastic cover for cracks or damage

• Inspecting wiring connections

• Looking for debris or nests inside the unit.

• Inspect condenser and evaporator coils

• Removes dust, pollen, and debris buildup

We check:

• Start and run capacitors

• Electrical connections

• Wiring insulation

• Control board condition

• Compressor startup operation

(Weak capacitors are common and can cause hard starting or compressor damage)

In the coach we:​

• Inspecting the interior ceiling assembly

• Checking airflow from vents

• Inspecting ducting (if ducted system)

• Verifying fan operation

(Restricted airflow is a major reason RV AC freeze up or cool poorly.)

• Supply air temperature

• Temperature drop across the evaporator (16–22°F temperature drop between return air and supply air)
